The 2023 Hurricane season is approaching soon and the CLC Disaster Response Team wants to help you get prepared! One of the best ways you can protect your family is to have your home upgraded to help prevent damage from a hurricane. We wanted to let our CLC family know that there are resources available to you through the My Safe Florida Home Program to help! The program provides homeowners with the knowledge, resources, and financial assistance necessary to make their homes more resilient to natural disasters. With the My Safe Florida Home Program, you can:

1. Get a free home inspection – A team of experts will visit your home and conduct a comprehensive inspection to identify potential vulnerabilities and make recommendations on how to make your home more disaster-resistant.
 2. Receive financial assistance – They offer grants of up to $10,000 to eligible homeowners for the implementation of recommended upgrades and improvements such as wind-resistant windows, reinforced roofs, and flood protection measures.

 3. Benefit from educational resources – They provide homeowners with access to valuable information and resources on disaster preparedness, mitigation, and recovery, so you can stay informed and make informed decisions.

By participating in the My Safe Florida Home Program, you can have peace of mind knowing that you have taken proactive steps to protect your home and family from natural disasters. You can learn more at their website
